2019 - 2026

Chewy came into our lives as a rescue, and from the very beginning we knew he had lived a life before us that we didn’t fully understand. What we did know was that he was loving, cautious, and full of personality. He had a feisty spirit, but underneath it was a dog who just wanted to feel safe, loved, and close to his people.
We were working with Chewy to trust humans again and each day pieces of his true personality began to show.
Chewy was endlessly cuddly; He had the softest eyes and the curliest hair that reminded us of our other dog, Cosmo. Despite the struggles that may come with rescues, it was these loving qualities that drew us to Chewy and made us want to build him back up to the good boy he was deep down.
Cosmo was one of the few dogs we ever saw Chewy truly relax and interact with so positively, and that bond meant so much to us.
Even though Chewy’s time with us was short, it mattered. He was loved. He had a home. He had people who cared deeply for him and a friend in Cosmo who ran and played by his side.
