In Loving Memory of Courage
February 14, 2012 – March 19, 2026

Courage, a distinguished Miniature Schnauzer of 14 years, peacefully completed his earthly mission on March 19, 2026, at Tropicana Animal Hospital in Las Vegas. He passed away as he lived: surrounded by the profound love of his family.

Born on Valentine’s Day in Hampton Roads, Virginia, Courage was a traveler at heart. His life was a grand American journey, spanning from the shores of Virginia Beach to the desert of Las Vegas, and across to the bustling Beltline of Atlanta, Georgia. In every city, he was a constant, grounding presence.

Courage was more than a pet; he was a silent counselor. He possessed that rare, intuitive canine magic—the ability to pull a human out of the shadows, lift a spirit without saying a word, and provide a reason to keep moving forward. In his later years, he returned to Las Vegas to take on his final roles: the beloved nap companion to his Grandma Vida, a playmate to his niece Gwen, and the formidable "big brother" to Archie the Goldendoodle. Despite his size, Courage always fought like a "big dog" when it mattered, ensuring Archie knew exactly who was truly in charge.
He was tired, and his work here was done. Courage leaves behind a legacy of resilience and a reminder that dogs are often the silent heroes who save us from ourselves.
To honor Courage’s life, his family asks that you hug a dog a little tighter today or volunteer your time at a local shelter.

"Rest easy, Courage. Your mission is complete."
