Abby
2015 - 2026
Abby was an 11-year-old German Shepherd mix who came into our lives as a second-chance rescue from the Oregon Humane Society. We adopted her in October 2015, never imagining how completely she would change our lives. From the day she came home, she filled our hearts and our home with unconditional love, laughter, and countless happy memories. She was proof that sometimes the greatest gifts come from giving a deserving soul a second chance.
Abby had a joyful, playful spirit and an incredibly gentle heart. She adored her humans and shared a special bond with her cat brother, Porter. Whether they were simply enjoying each other’s company or quietly sharing a room, Abby loved him dearly.
One of Abby’s most treasured possessions was her beloved “Moose Baby.” Unlike so many dogs, she never tore her toys apart. She carried Moose Baby gently, cared for it as if it were precious, and it became one of the many little things that made Abby so uniquely herself. Her sweetness and gentle nature was present in everything she did.
Though 11 years could never have been enough, we are deeply grateful for every moment we shared with her. Abby taught us about unconditional love, quiet loyalty, and finding joy in life’s simplest moments. She left paw prints on our hearts that time can never erase.
Our home is quieter now, and there is an emptiness that cannot be filled. Abby is missed beyond words and beyond measure. We will miss her gentle eyes, her playful spirit, and the comfort of simply having her near.
Run free, sweet Abby. We hope you’re surrounded by endless fields to explore. Thank you for choosing us and for allowing us to be your family. You will be loved always, remembered forever, and missed every single day.
