2016 - 2026

Laydee peacefully passed away on March 25, 2026 at Viking Veterinary Hospital in Nampa, ID in the arms and lap of her fur mom and dad. Laydee was diagnosed with high grade lymphoma on March 3, 2026. While her illness quickly progressed, that didn't stop her from living life loving everyone around her.

Laydee was adopted by her paw-rents at Animal Friends of the Valley in Wildomar, CA in 2016 - she was 8 weeks old. Over the course of her 10 years, she journeyed through Anaheim, CA, Aurora, CO, Las Vegas, NV, and Nampa, ID where she and her family now reside.

She wasn’t just a dog—she was a steady presence, a quiet kind of joy that filled the spaces in between everything else. She had a way of making ordinary days feel softer, warmer, more complete. Whether it was the sound of her paws moving through the house, the comfort of her resting nearby, or the simple happiness she carried so naturally, Laydee made life better just by being in it.

She had her own personality—her quirks, her habits, the little things that made her unmistakably *her*. The way she looked at you, the way she reacted to the world, the way she chose her favorite spots—those are the details that stay, etched into memory in a way that time doesn’t erase.

Losing her leaves a quiet that feels too big at first. But that quiet is shaped by everything she gave: the companionship, the loyalty, the comfort. Those things don’t disappear—they settle into memory, into habit, into the way you carry her with you going forward.

Laydee’s life mattered. Not because of how long it was, but because of how deeply she was loved and how much she gave in return.

And she will always be part of our story.
