Peridot
2012 - 2025
Thirteen years ago, a tiny kitten named Terra, renamed to Peridot, came home at just eight weeks old, and from that moment on, life would never be the same. With curious eyes and a kittne's moxy, she grew into a steadfast companion, quietly weaving herself into every chapter of my life.
Peridot curled up on textbooks during long nights of studying, purring gently as she saw me through multiple college degrees. She made every new apartment feel like home, no matter how far we moved whether it be thousands of miles, across states and seasons, she was always there. Constant. Loyal. Deeply loved.
She witnessed the first sparks of a relationship that would blossom into a beautiful marriage. She warmed laps during quiet evenings and brought comfort during tough times, offering silent understanding in a way only a beloved pet can. And when a new life entered the world, Peridot was there once again, a gentle presence who had already given so much love.
To know Peridot was to know calm, resilience, and unconditional companionship. Her life was filled with quiet grace and a bond that words can never fully capture.
Though she is no longer curled up on top of the couch or watching from the windowsill, her pawprints are forever etched in our hearts.
Thank you, Peridot.
For every purr, every meow, every headbutt, every moment.
You were—are—deeply cherished.
Always.
