Sally

2014 - 2025

My sweet Sally girl. We found you on our walk to the park on June 18, 2023. You were dirty, thirsty, and starving. We cleaned you up and gave you food and water. You slept the first few days - exhausted - and then slowly started to show your personality. You played with our German Shepherd, hopped around when you got excited, and wandered the halls as if you’d been here all along. You were so gentle and just wanted love and to be given all the necessities all dogs should have.

After a year of looking for a foster for you we decided you were just meant to be with us. We welcomed you into our family with a hot pink collar and tag and “Mustang Sally” as your name. Your happy dance for dinner time was my favorite, especially when you would leap from the step to get to your bowl. Your tap dancing shows at night were always entertaining and I loved your sweet little snore at night as you rested in a warm bed. I miss seeing your face peering through the sliding glass door, giving you kisses before bed and your cute waggy tail always happy to see me. You loved cuddling and playing with Ranger until you started to decline and lose energy. You got to experience Doggy Dash and family holidays.

I am forever grateful for you and the love and laughs you brought to our lives. I miss you so much, but find comfort that you are at peace now, pain-free, and able to roam and sniff as much as you want. You will always be in our hearts and you are such a good girl, I love you.
