Thoth Berlett

Sometimes the animals on a farm just make it their spot. In Thoth’s case this was definitely true and he was convinced he was a chicken. He picked us after a storm had injured his wing to a point he couldn’t fly. We were known to the local wild animal rehab center so we just let them know Thoth was with us and they made sure we were taking the best care of him we could since their Vet had determined he would never fly again. He lived with us on our small 1 acre farm for 15 years before crossing the Rainbow Bridge but he is still loved to this day. We will always remember the screaming fights he would have with the peacock next door, sometimes at 4 in the morning. “That funny lookin’ chicken” will always be a part of us, but I am certain he is on the other side of that bridge waiting for his 4 AM alarm when we get there.
